The next step on our journey to more sustainable pipette tips has been taken. We are now manufacturing the blue base of our TipOne® racks with 25 % recycled plastic! Arriving in stock soon, look out for the pink labels on the pack cartons.

This step follows the recent change from virgin material to 100 % recycled plastic for the clear polypropylene system components of our TipOne® refills.

Reusing recycled plastic reduces the need to extract new raw materials from the earth and protects natural resources. Furthermore, all polypropylene components (excluding tips) of the TipOne® system are still fully recyclable.

TipOne® pipette tips are made from 100% virgin polypropylene to ensure the highest quality product.

The use of multiple cavity tools for the injection moulding process guarantees batch to batch conformity for all TipOne^® tips. The automated assembling procedures are carried out under clean-room conditions to eliminate contamination and  Quality Control procedures ensure that TipOne^® is inspected for 100% performance. Every TipOne^® product is certified RNase, DNase, DNA and Pyrogen free. Sterile TipOne^® tips have been validated according to EN ISO 11137- 2:2007.

TipOne^® is the original plastic-saving pipette tip system. It is reusable, refillable and recyclable.

The exceptional quality of the racks allow them to be reused again and again with the refills - even if autoclaving! - without any loss of stability or shape.

Refills require less raw materials to manufacture compared to racked tips, resulting in less consumption of resources, and lower C0₂ emissions during production and delivery. The compact refill designs also help save valuable storage space in your lab. 

TipOne^® is manufactured in a factory powered 100% by sustainable (wind) energy.

Pack and case cartons for TipOne^® pipette tips are made from 100% recycled cardboard.

Save up to 63% plastic compared to using the sterile racked equivalent. The refill design means sterility is never compromised!

The new 1.0 ml refill provided a 66% space saving compared to the original, saving both packing and transport resources.

All packaging components of the TipOne^® system made from Polypropylene can be recycled. Starlab currently offers its own recycling service in Germany, Austria, France and the UK only. Some distributors offer a recycling service. Alternatively, if your site has a polypropylene recycling stream you can use this to recycling the TipOne^® polypropylene packaging.
